Realeyes OSMF Player Sample

REOPS Updated to v2 & we're moving

We are moving from Google Code to GitHub.

We want to be with all the other cool kids on the block so our code will now be maintained at github.com - http://github.com/REOPS/reops

The google code site will remain, but will not be updated - check out the tags for the last version of REOPS pre version 2.0.

There are some great new features that have been added to this version of REOPS.

We are actively working on samples, usages and example documentation. If you have any questions between now and when we get the updated docs up, email us at reops@realeyes.com or submit an issue at github.

GTrackPlugin Fixed and Updated

We've just committed a fix for the GTrackPlugin.swf. The problem was the plugin continued to send data to Google Analytics even if the media was paused (thanks Haakon for bringing it to our attention)

We've also provided a download of the plugin SWF - go grab it: https://code.google.com/p/reops/downloads/detail?name=GTrackPlugin.swf or you can grab the source and build a new verison.

If you are using the Strobe Media Player you'll need to replace the SWF distrubuted in the download - until Stobe Media Player updated it in their distrubutions of course.

Adobe OSMF Market Place is Live and we're on it.

The Adobe OSMF Marketplace is up and running and we've added the GTrack plugin to the offerings.

Check out the OSMF Market Place and the REOPS GTrack Plugin offering.

Adobe Article #3: REOPS - Skinning and control bar system

The third article in our series has been posted to the Adobe Developer Connection.

This article provides a deeper look into the skinning process and framework functionality of the REOPS external skin management solution. This article not only provides details and hands-on walkthroughs showing how to customize the look and feel of what is available out of the box, but also shows how to extend it with additional functionality.

REOPS Updated to OSMF 1.0

We're happy to announce that the code base, samples and documentation have all been updated to reflect the OSMF 1.0 release. There have been some good additions and tweaks to REOPS to accomodate the changes in the OSFM from String 9 to the current 1.0 release as well as some enhancements, such as much nicer scaling logic for the control bar skins, that we thought were needed.

Check out the updates on the Google code page: http://code.google.com/p/reops

If you have any questions or comments you can contact us here, on twitter (@reops) or on the Google discussion group.

OSMF 1.0 Released

The Open Source Media Framework (OSMF) was released today.

Open Source Media Framework (OSMF) simplifies the development of media players by allowing developers to assemble components to create high-quality, full-featured video playback experiences. This open framework enables development focused on web-based video monetization, with lower costs and faster turnaround.

The 1.0 release can be downloaded from http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/osmf/Downloads

Also announced was the Strobe Media Playback pre-release. The Strobe Media Playback is an opensource and free playback component built using the OSMF that:

  • Has a predefined user interface
  • Supports all the same video features as OSMF, including Progressive Download, RTMP streaming, Live Streaming, HTTP Dynamic Streaming
  • Supports content protection with Flash Access 2.0.
  • Supports controlling the interface through HTML embed tags, including player dimensions, setting auto start and auto hide behaviors & full screen support and more.

Download the Strobe Media Playback

Now that OSMF 1.0 has been released, we’ll be working on our code samples, documents and source so it is up to date with this 1.0 release. You can download the code and samples from the Google Code project and make sure to follow @reops on Twitter.
